Abstract Text:Providing areas for faculty and staff to be able to access all the support materials they need any time is difficult. Here at Purdue University Calumet we have developed an On-line resource area. This area is a course within WebCT Vista that all faculty and staff are enrolled in, when their account is created. To get an account for WebCT Vista all faculty and staff here at Purdue University Calumet must attend the Introduction to WebCT Vista Training.

This On-line resource area is used for many things. We use it as an activity in training to have the faculty and staff goes through it so they can see how a student would navigate in a course. This course is also used to show an example of how a course would look set up. There is also some sample learning modules to give faculty and staff ideas of how to set them up and use them in their course.

Once training is done, faculty and staff remain enrolled in this course since it contains all the training materials that they need. The interactive demo's that show them how to use the tools with in WebCT Vista are also contained in here. This course has helped to keep all the material for WebCT Vista that the faculty and staff need in one location and help provide them with another type of support.
