Description:Our e-learning project called CELO (Collaborative Development Environment of Learning Objects) was launched in 2003 as an inter-discipline and inter-university one. The main purposes of this project are i) to construct an open source oriented development environment of learning objects through the Internet, and ii) to put the philosophy of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning into practice through discussions among education technology researchers, educators, and faculties on the Internet. Abstract Text:Our e-Learning project called CELO (Collaborative Development Environment of Learning Objects) was launched in 2003 as an inter-discipline and inter-university one. The main purposes of this project are i) to construct an open source oriented development environment of learning objects through the Internet, ii) to share and KAIZEN (update) these LOs, and iii) to put the philosophy of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning into practice through discussions among education technology researchers, educators and faculties on the Net. Our project is an initial trial based on SoTL in Japan. Comments are very welcome!
