Abstract Text: | Developing a scalable professional development program can be a daunting challenge at any size institution. At Marshall University, the thought of professional development has been developed into a “box” in relation to using the university’s Course/Learning Management System. (C/LMS) By creating the concept of a “box”, Marshall University has created a scalable program that can be re-created and re-used. Inside the box, the Center for Instructional Technology has created a combination of on-line tutorials, printable hand-outs, reference cards and workshops that are time-friendly to working faculty and staff. This session will discuss the value of creating a “box” to create sustainable online course development training. |
