Abstract Text:Academic writing is something that all graduates need to learn. This requires a number of skills from the generic, such as use of an "academic style", to more specific skills such as presenting the results of critiquing and evaluating research literature and developing a thesis. The University of Sydney has provided a number of excellent workshops in these skills for several years in a face-to-face format. The present project seeks to develop an interactive tutorial to assist distance students to learn about the skills of academic writing. This can be implemented via the WebCT platform.
