Abstract Text: | In the Spring of 2005, Northern Arizona University decided to upgrade from WebCT Campus Edition 4.1 to Vista. By Fall 2005, almost 40 new and migrated sections were being taught in Vista 3. NAU then decided to upgrade to Vista 4 by Spring 2006, when more than 500 sections were taught in Vista. By Fall 2006, every section of every class taught at NAU – almost 6,000 -- will have a Vista section. In this highly interactive session, Northern Arizona University's Migration lead will discuss the challenges of migrating classes between versions of CE and Vista. He will also share organizational strategies for keeping track of the migration process. And the use of student workers to clean up the classes after going through the WebCT migration utility. |
