K-13: Utilizing WebCT Vista Tracking Data in Accreditation
Detailed Description:Most accrediting bodies have conditions of eligibility that require some proficiency in the use of technology, as well as basic standards in the level of technology available. This presentation identifies the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) principles for accreditation associated with technology and identifies data collected in WebCT Vista to answer those principles. We used this data to create a set of reports and best practices that USG institutions could use to systematically review their effectiveness in meeting the requirements. We will also compare the SACS principles to those of other regional accreditors throughout the United States.
