Detailed Description: | This seminar will look at the components needed for large scale deployments of WebCT Vista where one institution may be hosting the application for many others. Typically in these scenarios, the host provides system administration and database administration while the institutions that use the application fulfill institution administration roles. It will include such topics as service level agreements, manpower resources, hardware scaling, administrative best practices, capacity planning, and monitoring. WebCT will be sharing experiences from our own hosting organization and several customers will attend to share their experiences. This session will be helpful for project managers and administrators in widely distributed deployments or hosted scenarios. It should also be attended by users of hosted services to understand what to look for from a hosting organization. | ||
