Detailed Description:This session provides an overview of how to utilize WebCT for many other functions on a college campus. At our college, WebCT has been used for meetings, professional development, and college publications. The session will also discuss how to promote collegiality, create mentor groups, and provide a method for creating a teaching portfolio in WebCT.

Abstract Text:This session provides an overview of how to utilize WebCT for many other functions on a college campus. WebCT has been used for division/department meetings, professional development, connecting staff of the college journals, centralizing the work of the college newspaper. Participants will learn how to coordinate and support a large number of people by creating a centralized location in WebCT for the collection, dissemination, and discussion of departmental and college information, teaching materials, and best practices. We will also discuss how to promote collegiality, create mentor groups, and provide a method for creating a teaching portfolio in WebCT.
