Detailed Description:As the number of students taking online courses continues to grow, so does the population of learners with a variety of abilities and specific learning needs. This session will help participants understand how to comply with Section 508, which mandates that electronic materials be accessible to users of all abilities.

Abstract Text:Instructors and designers alike are tasked with creating materials that are both pedagogically sound and technologically accessible. This session will include a review of the basics of Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act, provide participants with techniques for creating ADA accessible materials in their WebCT courses, and offer a set of resources and best practice examples for follow-up after the session.
