Abstract Text: | Understanding how to create learning contexts and add users is great, but what else should you know? As Purdue University started getting past the pilot phase of its implementation we soon realized that there was much more to administrating Vista than just these tasks. This session will showcase the lessons and strategies learned from this experience and how other institutions can benefit from them. Issues such as the complexities of using templates, the trials and tribulations of roles, the friend that lies within naming conventions, the intricacies of settings, managing multiple institutions, and many more have came up and been answered during our journey out of Campus Edition and into Vista. After this session, audience participants will leave with a better understanding of the more advanced issues within Vista administration and with ideas they can incorporate into their own institution's administration of Vista. | ||
