Abstract Text:Understanding how to create learning contexts and add users is great, but what else ‎should you ‎know? As Purdue University started getting past the pilot phase of its ‎implementation we soon ‎realized that there was much more to administrating Vista than ‎just these tasks. This session will ‎showcase the lessons and strategies learned from this ‎experience and how other institutions can ‎benefit from them. ‎Issues such as the ‎complexities of using templates, the trials and tribulations of roles, the friend ‎that lies ‎within naming conventions, the intricacies of settings, managing multiple institutions, ‎and ‎many more have came up and been answered during our journey out of Campus ‎Edition and into ‎Vista. After this session, audience participants will leave with a better ‎understanding of the more advanced issues within Vista administration and with ideas ‎they can incorporate into their own institution's administration of Vista.‎
