Abstract Text:While we were developing WebCT Spanish classes contents, we noticed a great need for teachers hands-on training, especially from those countries with little technical and monetary resources. In the first steps of the project, several training seminars were offered to Spanish teachers of the department. Another seminar was conducted at a province level. Finally, out of an international protocol signed between the two universities: Université du Québec à Montréal (Québec, Canada) and University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), we decided to extend our seminars to the Bogota campus. The distance and lack of resources for these types of projects in Colombia made us work towards a distance seminar that could be modified and custom-made for the Colombian teachers. The feed-back, given that the students were on this occasion teachers was extremely valuable to improve our classes.
