Detailed Description:The CWI is a 24-week, fully online, comprehensive program to support instructors who would like to transfer their classroom teaching experience to online environments. Participants learn how to design, develop and deliver web-based courses in accordance with principles of instructional design for online learning, and instructional theories. The program consists of 6 modules, a review of the literature, and the development of an online module.

Abstract Text:The CWI is a 24-week, fully online comprehensive program to support instructors who would like to transfer their classroom teaching experience to online environments. Participants learn how to design, develop and deliver web-based courses in accordance with principles of instructional design for online learning, and instructional theories. The program consists of 6 modules, a review of the literature, and the development of an online module. The presentation will focus on challenges faced, solutions to overcome them, and how educators were attracted to the program and supported throughout it. The progress of several program participants will be traced throughout the 24 weeks.
