Abstract Text:Drexel University hosts WebCT for seven institutions providing access to the application as well as training and support. The partner institutions are both local and remote and vary widely in culture, academic tradition and teaching and learning environments. This paper describes the different support services and techniques used, the professional skills and expertise necessary to deliver them, and the variety of modalities used to match unique institutional cultures and characteristics and accommodate remote campuses. Strong support services are crucial to the success of such ASP partnerships and are difficult to design to successfully meet varied institutional needs. The level and quality of support makes the difference between merely providing hosting services, and creating a mutually beneficial partnership and in some cases, mentoring relationship, with the schools served.
