L-5: Enabling Learning: Effective Instructional Practices for Teaching a Second Language.

Detailed Description:This presentation will be practical and beneficial to those using WebCT for formal and informal evaluation. My intention is to share the power to the WebCT quiz/testing/self-testing tool in conjunction with Respondus 2.0 Campus-wide edition. This session will be very useful for e-teachers and course designers who want to incorporate audio with their testing methods.
Presentation Format:Showcase
Topic:Measuring outcomes: Student achievement and course success
Target Audience:Course Designers, Faculty and Other Instructors, K-12 Educational Staff
Appropriate Audience Level:Beginning or new users of WebCT, Experienced WebCT users
Abstract Text:This session will engage participants in questioning their individual styles of formal and informal evaluation. After reviewing the quiz/test tool in WebCT, the participants will then be shown an enriched form of evaluation. In conjunction with Respondus 2.0 Campus-wide edition, there is an opportunity to explore and include audio files for testing purposes. The presenter will demonstrate how this can be done and effectively implemented into any WebCT based course. Such tools help to engage students in even more meaningful evaluation pieces. Participants will want to find out more about this course enriching feature and how to implement into their individual courses.
