Detailed Description: | Business schools today are faced with the challenge of teaching undergraduate students to think critically. This session will focus on instructional practices and techniques believed to develop the critical thinking skills of students in a fully-online environment. Panelists will share their combined 9 years of online teaching experience as a basis for a moderated discussion. | ||

Abstract Text: | Little research has been performed and documented on the use of technology as a means of addressing the challenge in teaching undergraduate students to think critically. Innovators of critical thinking have mainly focused on the use of instructional techniques using either writing or in-class discussion as ways to develop these skills. The purpose of this panel discussion is to share best practices and discuss ways to overcome the obstacles when using online learning environments. | ||
