Detailed Description: | Recent advances in classroom response technology, including the emergence of radio frequency systems, offer an exciting opportunity to increase student engagement in large lecture courses. In this session, Dr. Timothy Stelzer, University of Illinois physicist and i>clicker inventor, will review the educational motivation behind the use of this technology. This presentation will include data from several courses where the technology has been used successfully. From these experiences, Dr. Stelzer will address some of the essential components to the successful implementation of the classroom response system. Dr. Stelzer will incorporate a demonstration of one radio frequency system, i>clicker, and will discuss how to integrate i>clicker polling results into the WebCT Grade Book. | ||
