2: Re-thinking Knowledge: Everything is Miscellaneous
Detailed Description:Over the past 2,500 years, we've developed principles for organizing knowledge, from the tree of species to the great encyclopedias. But, it turns out that those principles are the same ones we use for organizing physical objects. Now that we're digitizing information, we're inventing new principles of organization, free of the old limitations. These new principles not only change how we manage and retrieve information, more important they challenge our traditional ideas about the shape and authority of knowledge...affecting everything from politics to education.
