| Abstract Text: | When the University System of Georgia needed a way to train their WebCT Vista administrators, they utilized internal instructional design/development and training resources as well as leveraged an effective relationship with WebCT. With the goal of enhancing the training opportunities and resources available to institutional communities and supporting/expanding the administrative infrastructure that supports these endeavors for the state, the University System of Georgia expanded its partnership with Georgia Southern University and WebCT. Two specific programs that were adopted as part of these efforts were the WebCT Vista Certified Trainer Program and the WebCT Institution Administrator Certification Program. The following paper will explore the processes, logistics and results of these two endeavors, focusing on how they shaped the continued success of the statewide implementation of WebCT Vista. - Discuss basic rationale/logic behind promoting Certified Trainers and Administrators - Discuss basic logistics of organizing the WebCT Vista Certifed Trainer Opportunity and the WebCT Vista Institution Administrator Certification with Georgia Southern University - Discuss importance of certification opportunities as it relates to the weekly institutional call, various listservs and statewide support/collaboration model - Provide specific numbers of certified participants in all programs - New instance of WebCT Vista to support WebCT Vista Institutional Certification Opportunity | ||
