Abstract Text:Time management is a major concern for most faculty members using WebCt in E Learning, Hybrid or Blended environments. I have learned many time saving techniques that utilize the 7 Principles of Good Undergraduate Education. I will share these during this highly interactive showcase.

One of my favorite cooking shows is Rachael Ray's 30-minute meals. I use her format to explain tips and tricks for getting student interaction within your WebCT while limiting the amount of time it takes the instructor to make his/her presence known to the class. The motto “Learn to do by doing” will be used to give hints on how to get students to work effectively in groups to complete collaborative assignments.

Since our students come to our course spaces with varying learning styles, we must provide a number of different ways for the student to learn the material. Encourage them to select the elements that best match their own learning styles while communicating high expectations.

Designers should not be afraid of using materials that are available from publishers, but should be selective and customize the materials to fit the student's needs. Don't be afraid of including links to other materials on the web, but do make effective use of the content modules so that student tracking will give appropriate feedback to the instructor.

Remember to be an active member of the course and to enjoy your time with your students.
