Detailed Description:As an institution with high availability, scalability, and uptime requirements, Capella University will share some of the key lessons from the implementation of their 32 application node Sun/Solaris, Oracle RAC based system. Capella will share the high-level project plan/timeline, effort required, key lessons learned, and important ongoing maintenance considerations for WebCT Vista implementations. User patterns and requirements due to the nature of a fully online university will also be discussed.

Abstract Text:As an institution with high availability, scalability, and uptime requirements, Capella University will share some of the key lessons from the implementation of their 32 application node Sun/Solaris, Oracle RAC based system. A high level look at the steps involved with building Capella University's solution, scope of the project, and duration will be provided. Some key user patterns due to the nature of a fully online university with unique uptime, availability, and performance requirements will be demonstrated. Key considerations for ongoing system maintenance post implementation will also be provided to the group.
