K-6: Embedding Paradigms, Practices, and Pedagogy within Portfolios
Detailed Description:This presentation will build on the concept of the "Three P's" of Paradigms, Practices, and Pedagogy and how they augment the "Fourth P" (a robust Portfolio). While a Portfolio is a compilation of artifacts that document learning, the three "P's" are the underlying principles that lead to a well-balanced portfolio. Discussion will be encouraged to help clarify the types of portfolios that exist and when to use each. Participants will leave with several new ideas and best practices for creating their own successful portfolio projects.
Presentation Format:Showcase
Topic:Empowering educators: Professional development models and methods
Target Audience:Course Designers, Faculty and Other Instructors, E-learning Managers, K-12 Educational Staff
Appropriate Audience Level:Beginning or new users of WebCT, Experienced WebCT users
