Detailed Description:The University of Idaho uses WebCT as a course platform and synchronous communications and automated practice technologies from Link-Systems to deliver state-of-the-art mathematics and education courses to dual enrollment high school students, K-12 teachers, and adult learners in technical workplaces. This session will showcase course content, delivery, and research methodologies.

Abstract Text:The University of Idaho is developing and delivering web-based university level mathematics and mathematics education courses to dual enrollment high school students, adult learners in technical workplaces, and K-12 mathematics teachers. This paper discusses our approach to content development and delivery, synchronous & asynchronous communications, automated practice and testing, collaborative problem-solving, and related research questions and methodologies in the context of Math 170W, Analytic Geometry & Calculus I. We also discuss the statewide partnership of schools, corporations, and agencies that is the foundation of this enterprise.
