Detailed Description:A thoughtful and well-designed online course must be inclusive of all students, in particular those with either a learning or physical disability. This session illustrates ways of building course content that is accessible to all students, with specific emphasis on the Americans with Disability Act. The presenters will contrast courses not designed for accessibility with those that are. Attendees will receive a "good practices" list, as well as a list of accessibility design resources.

Abstract Text:Publicly funded universities and colleges have a legal and ethical obligation to ensure that any online course content offered is in a form accessible to all who chose to participate. A thoughtful and well-designed online course must be inclusive of all students, and in particular those with either a learning or physical disability. This session illustrates ways of building course content accessible to all students, with specific emphasis on the Americans with Disability Act.
