Abstract Text:The mission of the Nevada Learning Network is to enhance the educational process for all members through collaboration and the effective management and sharing of information technology resources. The Nevada Learning Network was formed in 2005 primarily to deploy WebCT Vista to multiple institutions within the state of Nevada. Due to the nature of multiple institutions collaborating and sharing resources procedural components needed to be well planned and communicated.

During the formation of the consortium and implementation of Vista 4 many obstacles were encountered; these obstacles were addressed through communication, collaboration and compromise. The flexibility and “can do” attitude of the participating institutions allowed the implementation remain on schedule with a pilot in spring 2006 and a full implementation still on track for fall 2006.
