| Title: | Embedding Paradigms, Practices, and Pedagogy within Portfolios | |
| Description: | This presentation will build on the concept of the "Three P's" of Paradigms, Practices, and Pedagogy and how they augment the "Fourth P" (a robust Portfolio). While a Portfolio is a compilation of artifacts that document learning, the three "P's" are the underlying principles that lead to a well-balanced portfolio. Discussion will be encouraged to help clarify the types of portfolios that exist and when to use each. Participants will leave with several new ideas and best practices for creating their own successful portfolio projects. | |

| Abstract Text: | This presentation will build on the concept of the "Three P's" of Paradigms, Practices, and Pedagogy and how they augment the "Fourth P" (a robust Portfolio). While a Portfolio is a compilation of artifacts that document learning, the three "P's" are the underlying principles that lead to a well-balanced portfolio. Discussion will be encouraged to help clarify the types of Portfolios that exist and when to use each. Finally, some concluding visuals coupled with learning activities will clarify the ideas needed to craft successful portfolios and projects. This equation will clearly identify missing componenets in your own academic community and suggest ways to improve. | |
