Title:Work-based Learning and Assessment: An Online Pilot
Description:Anglia Ruskin University has for many years been a primary provider of nursing education to the Essex region of the United Kingdom. Course designers have developed innovative ways to deliver a flexible Mentorship Program that meets employer needs. Recently, a pilot program was delivered using WebCT as a strategy for learning. This presentation will explore the design, implementation, and delivery of the pilot program, including strategies used and lessons learned.

Abstract Text:The Anglia Ruskin University has for many years been a primary provider of pre and post registration nurse education to the Essex region of the United Kingdom. The Mentorship programme has arisen and grown in popularity and is now seen as the mains programme for a number of interprofessional, health care related occupations. The course designers have become innovative in providing a flexible programme that meets employer needs in this region. As a result more flexible forms of delivery have been considered. Recently a pilot programme has been delivered utilising WebCT as the strategy for learning. This presentaiton will explore the design, implementation and delivery of the first delivery, thus giving newcomers to the use of WebCT and other e-learning platforms the opportunity to learn from our experiences.
